When you are out of the office, you must instead, type the IP address of your Internet router to be able to access the Web Interface of OroTimesheet. The router is the small box at your office allowing you to access Internet. The IP address of the router is usually dynamic (can change from time to time) and is usually automatically assigned to the router by your office Internet provider. If you do not know how to retrieve the router's IP address, we suggest you to ask your computer technician about that.
Once you know the IP address of your router, when you are out of the office, just type this address in your web browser to access the Web interface of OroTimesheet.
Note that you must also configure your router at the office so that it routes your query to the proper computer where the web interface of OroTimeshee is installed. This is usually done from the NAT configuration option into your router. For example, you must indicate that if a request is received on port 8888 (default port of the Web interface of OroTimesheet) of your router, it must be redirected on port 8888 of the computer where is installed the web interface of OroTimesheet. Configure also the firewall on the computer to allow communications on port 8888. Ask your computer technician to help you if needed.
Note: If you want, when you are out of the office, it would be possible to type a name (easier to remember) instead of an IP address to access the web interface of OroTimesheet. This is possible using dynamic DNS services (often free) such as
www.DynDns.com
or
www.no-ip.com.
